What Your Summer Skin Needs

As temperatures start creeping up around the country, we must treat our skin accordingly. Believe it or not, what your summer skin needs isn’t dramatically different from what winter skin needs. Both seasons can bring extreme temperatures, which is why we like to focus on hydration and protection. We do not recommend chemical peels in summer, just back to the tried and true basics.

Here’s the part where I talk about how you can feed your summer skin, without mentioning products:

• Water it! Summer heat and sun cause you to sweat your water out. You need to replenish it to keep your hydration levels up. Pee clear.

• Reapply it! A morning application of sunscreen doesn’t last all day, kids. Throw a travel size in your bag or pocket and reapply mid-afternoon.

• Change it! Sleeping on a clean pillowcase will help keep your skin clean, and clear. Flip it over, turn it inside out and change it often.
