A Nightmare in Iowa: and what it means for YOUR health & safety March 03 2012
Iowa has become the first state in the U.S. to make it ILLEGAL to video tape animal abuse and cruelty on factory farms. Is this disturbing to you? It should be. Lying on a job application is something that is common place. Perhaps you "stretch the truth" a bit to try and land that dream job or tack on a year or 2 of experience? Well, guess what? In Iowa, if you are caught lying on a job application for the purpose of obtaining under cover video on a factory farm you might end up with: a year in prison and/or a $1,500 fine.
The animal welfare group, Mercy For Animals put through endless efforts on behalf of bettering the lives of animals living in their own Holocaust on factory farms. Not only are the stressed and desperate lives of these poor creatures an everyday, every second painful living hell, it's an extreme health risk for human kind too. Animals crammed into crates, spreading disease, living among waste and carcasses end up in our food supply. Don't just be upset, do something.
